Free professional advice for community groups
Council’s Inclusive Brisbane Professional Advice Alliance is a group of industry leaders from the private, not-for-profit and public sectors brought together by Council. The alliance provides free high-level professional advice to support community and not-for-profit organisations as they continue to strengthen and enrich our local communities.
The alliance can provide advice on a range of topics including:
- planning and development
- social services
- architecture
- accounting
- legal
- engineering
- governance
- marketing and communication.
How can the alliance help?
The free advice provided by the alliance can help you grow your organisation, make decisions about current and future challenges to remain sustainable and meet your legislative, infrastructure, resourcing and development requirements.
Who is eligible?
Any community or not-for-profit organisation in the Brisbane Local Government Area can apply to the alliance, regardless of how long you have been operating. Examples of eligible groups include sporting clubs, cultural groups and creative and social service providers.
How can I apply?
You can apply to the alliance by emailing the Inclusive Brisbane Secretariat on inclusivebrisbane@brisbane.qld.gov.au or calling Council on (07) 3403 8888.
Once your application is processed, the Inclusive Brisbane Secretariat will schedule a time for you to meet with the alliance and discuss your organisation’s challenges and concerns. Following the meeting, a member of the alliance will help guide you as you implement the suggested strategies.
