University of the Third Age

In Activities & Events, Aged care, Community, Families, Health, People

Late last year I had the pleasure to meet the President of U3A Brisbane and learn about this important organisation. U3A deliver leisure classes and educational courses to help seniors keep the brain active, make new friends, and to be healthy and active for longer.

U3A Brisbane was formed in 1986 and is a volunteer organisation. They have over 4000 members and offer more than 290 courses each term! It was wonderful to hear about an organisation that is working hard to care for our older population. Their first term starts soon on 22 January.
